Rebounds and Single Stroke Exercise
The following exercise is similar to the 8 on a hand. It actually does the 8 on a hand in the first half. If you use the hand doing the 8s as an anchor, and throw in the other hand in between, you are now using both hands and playing notes twice as fast! When you go back and forth between your hands, you are playing single strokes which is the very first rudiment for drummers. This exercise works rebounds, single strokes, and gets you switching between two note values, 8th notes and 16th notes.
